What our clients are saying…

“I highly recommend Rhiannan! She is an expert physical therapist and was able to effectively and efficiently help resolve my issues. Her positive attitude and friendly demeanor make each visit enjoyable!”

-Jessica

“I’m back to running again and rough housing with my kiddos thanks to Rhiannan! She is knowledgeable and empathetic. She treated me as a whole person, not an injury. She educated me on my knee, happily answered my questions, and ensured I was fully confident in my treatment the entire time. She often started our sessions with fresh solutions to my recovery that she provided from her continuous education and research. She empowered me to be an active part of my own recovery and I left feeling so positive and confident about my future physical wellness! She’s the physical therapist you’d want working on your friends and family. I can’t recommend her enough!”

-Lauren

“Rhiannan is an incredible physical therapist! She was thorough in evaluating my injury and came up with a great plan of care. She also took the time to explain the purpose of each aspect of my treatment. I'm back to full strength and will definitely see her again if I ever have another injury.”

More about our services

Optional: Free phone consult

Call today to book a 15 minute phone conversation us. We will use this time to get to know each other and discuss the injury that is currently holding you back. We will use this phone call to decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Step 1: Initial evaluation

Typically about 50 minutes in duration, your first visit will begin with an in depth conversation regarding your current injury. Next is a thorough physical examination that will include the body part that is hurting as well as any related body regions that may be contributing to your pain. We will conclude this visit with a plan on how to resolve your pain and get you back to the mountains.

Step 2: Calm down the pain

The goal of this phase is to decrease your pain so that your body is ready to move forward with learning healthy movement patterns. Techniques used in this phase may include:

  • Massage using hands-on techniques to decrease tension in tight or overworked muscles. This can also include joint mobilizations to restore limitations in range of motion.

  • Dry needling to get rid of knots or trigger points in muscles that can be causing pain, decreased motion, or restricting your muscle from functioning optimally.

  • Cupping is a technique that promotes blood flow and decreases pain in irritated tissues.

  • Stretching will be designed to specifically treat any restrictions you have that are contributing to your pain.

Step 3: Targeted strengthening and sport specific training

Targeted strengthening will focus on individualized areas where your body needs to be stronger. This often includes strengthening muscles that have been inhibited by pain in a specific body region.

Sport specific movement re-education will focus on training your body to move in optimal patterns, and get out of any bad habits that have formed while you were in pain.

Optional video assessment

We offer an optional sport specific video assessment that will allow us to discuss in depth the motions that may have caused your injury in the first place, and how to train your body to move in a more healthy pattern.

About me

Rhiannan Rubino, PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN

Hi, I’m Rhiannan Rubino! I am a Laramie native and growing up here I developed a lifelong love of spending time in the mountains. Whether it is to ski in the winter, to hike and backpack in the summer, or to fish anytime the fish are biting, I love to be doing something fun in the mountains. I especially love it when my husband and I are able to take our son on adventures in the Snowies or at Pole Mountain.

After I graduated from UW with a Bachelor’s in Spanish Linguistics, I decided I wanted to pursue a career that would let me spend my time helping people. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Montana. After finishing my studies in 2018, I was excited to return to my hometown of Laramie.

I’ve always enjoyed outdoor recreation, but now that I have a deep understanding of how our bodies work, I know staying active is one of the most important things any of us can do for our health. I love that my job as a physical therapist lets me help people get out of pain, develop the strength they need to do what they love, and get back to their favorite outdoor sport. The best part of my job is when someone tells me they were able to get back to their sport with no more pain!

If pain or an injury is keeping you back from doing what you love, please reach out to me so that I can help you get out of pain and get back to the outdoor sport you love to do!
